It's an antihistamine, not a sleep-aid

Having been advertised to aid in sleeping, I had to give this a try since I have been suffering from not being able to fall asleep quickly. I have been taking a lot of different tablets and capsules, some prescribed strong pain killers and some cough syrups that contain codeine and I really do not want to get too addicted to them. I have tried a lot of herbal ones which all do not seem to help. I was searching for sleep aids and I saw this "Generic Benadryl Nighttime Sleep-Aid Diphenhydramine HCI 50 mg 200 Capsules".
In my experience, it did not help me fall asleep but made me somewhat dizzy and gave me some "weird" feelings that made falling asleep worse. Low-cost and highly effective.

If you are a anxious person, this probably isn't your go-to sleep aid. It's an antihistamine, not a tranquilizer. And if you already use tranquilizers or other drugs containing diphenhydramine, you shouldn't use this. However, for most people and in particular for me, it's HIGHLY effective in helping you go down, without any side-effects on your mood or on your body. You may experience some dry mouth, though.
Use it wisely. Don't resort to addictive tranquilizers.
