Power Cord Works for a 2012 MAC Book Pro

Failed after 2 months use

This charger failed after approximately 2 months use. The Mag-Safe connector stopped charging and developed an extremely high temperature at the connection to the computer. Had the laptop been on a combustible surface it could have caused a fire. It is marketed as an Apple OEM product, and appeared to be in good condition (external) when delivered. Good buy but shorter chord length than original.

Only used it for a couple days now. Been working fine. Keep in mind, you only get the wire running from adapter to the laptop (including adapter) and not the thick one from plug point to the adapter. But adapter already has the plug pin so you can use it as is. Not a big deal but just something to keep in mind.Read full review

Defective, falling apart after 2 months

Arrived December 3rd, it is now February 7th and the head of the charger is falling apart. I've had to use electrical tape to hold it together until I can get a new charger. I'm not sure if the one I received is representative of this product's quality or if it's a fluke, but it's clearly defective.Read full review

Parts wear out. Cords break. I'm sure this part became available because someone's laptop bit the dust. This power adapter is clean (cleaner than the picture indicated) and an original part.
