Bought it to clean some light stains on the carpet, used water without shampoo as a test, and the stains came out with some satisfyingly muddy water coming out of the tank afterwards. This isn't rocket science - it just squirts (soapy) water onto your carpet, then sucks it up. As far as I can see, It does that very well. The hand tool does the same thing on small areas. Overall, I'm impressed, my only complaint would be the siting of the on/off switch which is hard to reach and has an awkward action.Read full review

Small but mighty!

This bissell cleaner may not be the biggest or most advanced of the bissell cleaners but it packs a punch! It's lightweight and so much easier to move around than its larger brothers and it cleans just as efficiently. I am really impressed with this and bought at a bargain price too, it's a no brainer! Would recommend highly. Added... only worked once then wouldn't suck up anymore, left me with a soggy carpet and very disappointed.... hopefully they're not all like this!
