Best sounding workhorse of an interface

Workhorse. Been using one for years. Took tons of abuse and buttons were finally showing wear. Bought one as a replacement and using the old one as a spare or field use. This Unit Was Incompatible With My DAW

I have been recording via PC for over a decade and have had a number of sound cards and Audio Interfaces. I chose the Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD as is seemed a good value with good specifications. However it would not function in my SONAR DAW. I wasted time and money on this thing and will not suggest anyone buying one.Read full review

In your head

I have a small studio in my basement with a lot of 70's sound equipment. Hooking my Yamaha 12 chanel analog mixer and amp and old speaker cabinet's. I had to run a lot of different wiring possibilities to get every thing working the way I wanted. I probably ran a half dozen set ups through my head and even a few trial and error. When I hit the right combination it was great. Work perfect and I am very pleased with it and I can record all the live tracks I want with out worrying about the interface doing it's job. Surprisingly good

I've used a lot of great gear over the years and had always heard these were pretty good as far as low end stuff goes. After trying it I'd have to say its pretty good as far as high quality stuff goes, too. Don't let the price fool you, this and its siblings are very solid pieces. I bought it on curiosity to use with a laptop to host Waves Tune and OVox in live settings, and I'm pleasantly surprised that I could get something at this price point to do the job at the level I need it done. LOL, it raises a few eyebrows to see this patched between a pair of $1K mics and a $15K board, and hearing it isn't the weakest link.Read full review

Awesome affordable interface

This interface is well worth the price. Excellent high quality preamps and great clarity output. Phantom power and 1/4" outputs were a main draw for me and of course the low price. Highly recomend this interface for those just getting into home recording and for those who need one to throw in their bag and use remotely. Compact, Functional, Flexible - Good Quality Sound From a Small Unit

I've used a heck of a lot of recording interfaces in the last couple of decades and haven't been impressed with many of them. As such, I was a LITTLE trepidatious about purchasing the UMC202HD but, in the end, I'm glad I did. The unit is compact and attractive, the inputs and outputs are simple yet flexible, it's easy to set up and easy to use AND, best of all, it SOUNDS GOOD.
