high quality and performance at a good price
This machine is surprisingly powerful and collects leaves without sucking up soil and gravel as well. It's quite easy to assemble and when you need to disassemble after a few goes it's easy. There's graduated suction so you can adjust it as you go according to the amount you are collecting - I haven't used the blow function yet. It's quite noisy on full power and I wear ear defenders, although you could get by without them.Read full review

It does a great job but with shortcommings
My first went one died within 8 months and I have not been able to get it repaired under guarantee but I am still trying.
The machine does a good job and with much better performance than the Flymo I had used for years which was heavy but switched from blowing to sucking by means of a switch. This Bosch one is a chore as it has to be dismantled and reassembled to change modes, that done it does the job very well and compacts the leaves into the bag very efficiently. As a blower it is easy to use and has a good blast.
There are design shortcomings. There is no cord tidy or any way to wrap the cord around the machine. It is difficult to store in the shed - it needs a hook or strap. The component with the knob tat screws into the machine is too small with rather sharp edges and any one with poor grip or movement issues would find this difficult to do.

Bosch ALS2500 garden blow & vacuum.
This is a well made unit, easy to assemble and operate. It is quite light and manageable, with a nice hand grip and shoulder strap. The motor is vey quiet and suction is good. The zip to empty the bag is also very sturdy and does not seem to snag when opening or closing the bag (unlike my previous B&D vacuum) Overall I would recommend this vacuum, especially as I bought mine at a good price.Read full review
