Great film by directors of The Matrix (very adult)

Mainly dark, sometimes darkly humourous; violent with occasionally very nasty violence. The main acors are great. Joe Pantoliano excels as the hopeless bad guy who gets things done that you can't help having a little bit of sympathy for. Only thing I wasn't SO keen on was Jennifer Tilly's speaking voice... a bit /too/ stylised most of the time to be believable. Gina Gershon is great as her girlfriend and the female who gets things done. Chock full of ideas and style, great camera work, great sound, etc.Read full review

A simple story from the 1990s about gangsters squabbling over money is given a new twist by the lesbian relationship between gangster fem femme fatale, Tilly, and the more masculine, but equally gorgeous, Gerschon. Personally, I prefer the cut version I saw at the time, as I believe the strength of the film is in the very stylish flirting.
