Reliable epilator

I needed to replace my epilator with a mains powered combined shaver/epilator and I am happy with this product, especially the rollers (massage) with the epilator head which make hair plucking more effective. I wasn't too keen on the bright pink colour but, hey, I'm not fussed as long as it does the job :)Read full review

Don't expect too much from them and they're ok.

Ok, I live in an area where the water is moderately hard and you should bear in mind that the water in your area may be very different. Your "mileage may vary".

I've used Brita water filters for 15 to 20 odd years now. At first it was the filter jugs before they had changed from the long cylindrical filter to the smaller, compact version they use now. For the last ten years or so, I've been using an under sink filter and three way tap again through the transition from the old to the new, compact filters I'm reviewing here.

Clearly I wouldn't have done this if I didn't think they work.

They will make your tea and coffee free of that thin skin that breaks up into unsightly dark patches after you pour in the milk and stir. They will also greatly reduce the need to descale appliances such as kettles, etc.

The issue I have is that they're very expensive, they're difficult to recycle (in my area) and they don't eliminate all the problems associated with hard water, such as scale. Remember they're only filtering the water you drink. Don't expect too much from them and they're ok.

Good value product, but would prefer a more robust cable and plug.

Great price and it works well. Only thing that I'm not keen on is the connection - it has a two prong plug which wobbles about on my three prong shaver adapter, so the current switches on and off unless I can arrange it so there's no movement at all. And the cable seems very flimsy. But the epilator is very good, and I wish I'd got it years ago.Read full review

Really unhappy :(

I've used a few epilators now and this one unfortunately is not good at all, when I use it I have to go over the same spot about 5 or 6 times to remove the hairs, everytime I use the epilator for my legs I can never remove all the hair with this one. I am really unhappy with this item and regret buying it.

I would of rather spent more money for one that actually works properly and doesn't take 6 or 7 times to remove a tiny bit of hair.

Does the job

I wanted a cheaper alternative as my more expensive one had died. Does the job but I do find it occasionally leaves me with red, grazed patches (bikini) which hurt that I never got on the other device. Other than that, no complaints for the price.Read full review

Fantastic and has light to show the hairs, had two speeds also, its great eplilator and prefer it to my rechargeable one that can't be used at all whilst plugged in
