Bulova 97A106 Men's Watch

Nicely detailed and stylish

This is a strikingly lovely, clean and nicely detailed watch. The two things that first caught my eyes was the dial and the Bulova logo. The patterned dial with rose gold numbers and black minute markers plus the Bulova tuning fork logo on the crown and the dial gives it a nice, striking look. It is only 7mm thick and sits "flat" on my wrist which I like, especially compared to the other "bulky" watches I own. The brown leather straps complement the color of the case and the numbers, and is softer and more flexible than other Bulova watch straps (that I own).

My concern is the build. Its light weight and thin build leaves it feeling a little flimsy and delicate. It also doesn't have a second hand which is a bummer for a quartz watch (the second hand is a good way to tell if it's working). I don't see myself wearing it everyday, but it hits the sweet spot for me - dressy yet casual. I think it will hold up given how I intend to wear it.Read full review

The ink on the outer white case and tags are somewhat blurred. The watch looks fine and looks surprisingly new(completely no scratches). Taking it to a jeweler to check whether it is authentic.

Looks great and well made

This watch is very nice for the money. The smooth sweep of the seconds hand and the detailed texturing of the multi-level dial make it a pleasure to look at. The bracelet is also very well made and sturdy. It is not noisy and does not pull hair due to the solid construction and solid links. The clasp is also first rate and incorporates a diver's extension. The screw down crown is smooth in operation and engages easily. The movement sets nicely with no slop.

The only negatives are the size and weight. For me it is a large watch but if that is what you are looking for you are in luck. It is also quite heavy but that again may not be a negative for you. It is comfortable even with the size and weight issues. The hands, numbers and indices have lume but it is adequate at best and not up to the levels of Seiko.

Overall this is a great watch that looks and feels much more expensive than it is. The movement is excellent and highly accurate and the ultra smooth glide of the seconds hand is mesmerizing. Top it off with 300 meter water resistance and overall good looks and you have a wonderful value. Read full review

ANOTHER GREAT WATCH BY BULOVA

I just happened to stumble across this Beautiful Watch by 'Bulova' and what a find ! The Looks are a very classic and well designed Frame. Have received many compliments on the watch so-far.
Also, for me, I'm very happy this watch is battery operated and not auto-wind, as with this, one can take it off, place it into the drawer, and recover it a week later to ware again without having to reset each time.

A beautiful watch

This watch is so much more than the picture as it is certainly more beautiful and it makes a great statement just being on your wrist. The band is heavy unlike some cheaper watches and the dial color just goes so well with the gold of the watch. The only thing I can come up with as a negative is your description which states it has a classic gray dial but the description enclosed with the watch has it listed as a silver dial . I guess it could be either and I should not nitpick.Read full review
