Arrived promptly.

Had to splice it into an old cable as the fridge lid I had was quite old. Be careful when connecting the wires as the colours may not correspond correctly.

Good quality product, easy to take apart and put back together, for the value.

**Warning** not suitable for all cool boxes polarity wrong and gets extremely hot

The polarity was wrong for my cool box so the element got extremely hot. (My coolbox does not have a switch for polarity to make the item warm things like some models.)
The item is not suitable for all makes/models of cool box.
Buyers of this item should give it a quick 10 minute check to make sure it works correctly before using for a long period of time.
The issue was easily rectified by cutting a groove in the plug and filling in the original groove and putting the plug in the cooler box opposite way round. (This was my work around but do it at your own risk.)
I have recommended the item as it does work after the slight modification and now does the job purchased for but check it out before long periods of use.Read full review

Compact & does the job well

Being used to prevent condensation buildup in a small sailing yacht.

Unit is actually 12V power, with mains to 12V DC adapter supplied to give the mains capability. Thus the unit can be run from the onboard batteries, or car battery if you want. It will need a 5A supply.

It manages to pull about a mug-full of water out of the air per day so if your water intake is more than this it may not keep up. But it has more than enough capacity to cope with condensation in most situations.Read full review
