Cadfael DVD's
I have watched all the episodes in this set, and everyone was as clear, and clean as you would expect from a unused set. This historical series are easy to watch, and very interesting as it brings to life a period in Britain that is shrouded with mystery, due to the war between Maud, and Steven for the throne. Set in a Monestry in Shrewsbury which did swap from following Maud, and Steven depending who was in control of there town at the time, and weaving into this stories which sometimes were about the followers of the factions,and others about other crimes commited that had a impacted on the church. Decided to re read some Cadfael after a visit to an exhibition about monks in York. This DVD is a faithful representation of the original books. Also an interesting glimpse into the history and life of the times. Derek Jacobi is a really good actor. Actors of other parts are also good.Read full review...
