I purchased a Firefield and Calwell bipods at the same time and was amazed at the difference in the two. Although Caldwell is the most well known of the two the quality of their product was poor, it came with a little plastic tube holding the sling mount bracket open. When I removed the plastic tube the whole mounting bracket fell out of the bipod. Whereas the Firefield bipod was all one piece and solid it was also easily installed. I also paid about $6.00 more for the Caldwell it always cost more for the name brand. I did not know it was set up for a different style firearm but with a little hillbilly ingenuity I made it work. And I love it. It dont add much weight to it. And it's very stable.
