Don't waste your money

This book is little more than a partial list of Carolina edible wild plants. It's worthless for identification. The pictures are tiny and lack detail. The descriptions do not contain information on how to identify the plant or recognize look-a-likes, and little information on plant uses, It does give scientific names. On the cover, the authors call this book "a forager's companion." It's not. According to the book, neither author lives nor works in the Carolinas. It shows. There has to a better guide out there somewhere, even if it's not specific to the Carolinas. Read full review
