A robust and very strong gate wheel, this will be the third one of this brand I've fitted and they do the job for me, seeming to go on and on working in all conditions, rain; mud; with little attention. Poor design

This jockey wheel is let down by the thinness of the metal bracket which supports the spring and the distance from the mounting holes. When fixed to the gate it flexes and bogs down the wheel which refuses to rotate. Like a super market trolly with a stubborn wheel. The split pin which allows adjustment of the height does not work as it just passes the spring and jams. A good idea let down by using cheaper metal and poorly thought through design.

Struggles on gravel...

I’m using this for a field gate that runs over uneven gravel and the frame has twisted a little. I’ve bolted it on, through the gate as opposed to using heavy duty screws. I’m expecting a lot from the wheel.

I think it would be ok if running over a smooth surface. I wouldn’t use this for really heavy gates. Otherwise good value.Read full review

Ok, do what they say they do.

Fitted to large wooden yard gates 10 feet wide x 8 feet tall. quite heavy hence the need.
The springs could be heavier built but since fitting have done a decent job at protecting the hinges.
