I bought these as an alternative to scissors for dress making. I also heard it is better for slippery fabrics.
I am impressed the blade retracts and it has a guard. This product is more suitable to right handed poeple as you can see the blade when cutting.
I have used this and it has saved me hours during pattern cutting process as I no longer need to draw the pattern onto the fabric.

Blade guard too deep.
Very disappointed.
I bought this item to cut thicker fabric. The blade guard prevents the cutting edge from doing so. It should have a 20mm advantage over the 400mm cutter I have already.

Best ever rotary cutter.
After struggling with 2 other makes of Rotary cutters which blunted after short use i decided to purchase this Fiskars cutter. OMG this is the king of rotary cutters. Very light in weight and little pressure is needed to slice through several layers of material. It is so comfortable in the hand and the blade pops out with ease when the button on top is pressed. It is easily retracts with the push of the button on the top side. I am sure the titanium blade will last for a long time. Worth every penny and I will never ever waste money on cheap cutters as it is false economy.

Very disappointing performance
The handle is comfortable to use but the (new) blade that it came with began to 'snag' during it's first use. I was cutting through a double layer of thin cotton and had only cut a few pieces of fabric before it stopped cutting cleanly and I had to keep going back over the fabric to cut it.
