This does a very good job even compared to much larger hardware I used to pay $1,000+ for. I’ve been producing music professionally for decades now and I highly recommend this for home studios. I bought this for my son but also use one professionally in a home studio using it with Logic Pro X. Some may not think home studio can equal professional but with skill and time, you can use products like this and Logic Pro to make amazing things at home or anywhere your laptop can go since this is also powered by your computer. It's a quality preamp that doesn't break the bank. Good for beginners like me.

Pros: Great construction (metal), simple design, easy to use and so is the base software (Focusrite Control). Also comes with some extra software like Pro Tools Lite.
