Freud unmasked in period

Clift is the man I would say did the role proud. He was ill at the time, but this added to role. Susanna York was great and made the therapy and patient relationship most convincing in period.

Great acting with engaging content

This is probably one for fans of sixties films. They did things differently then. I understand Montgomery Clift was not easy to work with during the filming and indeed died just a few years later. But he delivered a heartfelt and impressive performance as usual. Great to see young Susannah York and David McCallum. I think highly of this film which has some creative dream sequences, as you would expect with a film about Freud.Read full review
