Excellent images in a compact body giving real photographers lots of control.
The Good
This is an excellent camera to always have with you, it produces excellent image quality with lots of control. It's well made and built to last. 16MP is easily enough for most uses and the images are very good with only slight softness at the edges if used at F2. I got this second hand for £300, thats a third of a new X100V, a bargain. I tried the x100 as well, this is also excellent and 12MP is enough if you just post of instagram and do not intend to crop.
The flash works well and it has automatic modes for point and shoot if that's what you need.
The APS-C sensor is excellent.
The bad.
The scroll wheel on the back is fiddly
The autofocus can be slow to lock sometimes - the firmware updated helped.
I found the buttons on the back too easy to press by accident, I contantly keep changing the view mode in the hybrid viewfinder by accident.
The fixed lens could be limiting to some but having one focal length actually makes you a better photographer in my opinion.
I'd give it 8/10, the X100V gets a 9/10

X100S - a future classic
X100S - lovely to hold and to use and perfectly matches modern technology with the feel of older classic cameras. I actually prefer the look and the features of the X100S over the later T,F and V versions. I see this becoming a desirable classic of the future - it will be with me for a long time!Read full review

Great little camera, in good condition. ...
Great little camera, in good condition. Although this is one of the older x100 variants, the images quality is excellent and works really well for what I purchased it for. Many thanks!

The upgrade
As soon as it arrived i was taking photos to see any comparisons to my old xm1 camera, already I am in love with it. I wanted to get a camera which suits street photography and I really am pleased with my choice. It's excellent value even though it's been previously used. I can wait to take it to Amsterdam with me on Saturday :D thanks for the super quick postage!! Read full review

Excellent camera
Great camera, takes getting used to in the beginning but once the basics are mastered, it’s a wonderful image making tool. The quality of image coming off the sensor is very impressive indeed.

Small, quiet and a joy to use
I absolutely love this camera! Easy to put in any bag and perfect travel camera. Made of sturdy metal. So quiet! And I love to use the optical viewfinder (OVF). The only negative things I have to say is that I wish the auto focus is faster (it will hunt for focus or focus on the background sometimes) and the EVF is very laggy when it's dark (hurray for the OVF). And a really cool and nice to have feature would be to automatically adjust the display/EVF backlight brightness according to how bright it is. I have to manually adjust the display brightness during the day as it gets darker/brighter outside.Read full review

Overall a great little camera!
Love the image quality! Its lightweight and not as noticeable as a DSLR so its great for street photography.
Fairly easy to use if you know a thing or two about photography.
Custom settings are a great feature as well.Read full review

Lovely little camera.
Wanted one of these for years. Price was right so took the plunge. Hybrid viewfinder is a bit pointless - use it on EVF and suddenly it all makes sense. Can be a little slow to focus and takes a while to get the settings right but the images are well worth it. Lovely little thing. Only drawback is battery life. Buy some cheap spares! Read full review
