Better than the later models in basic functinality

I originally bought a new 64ST. It was poor to see maps so returned it. This is way better especially in sunlight. Easier to use also and doesall I need to.

GPS Handheld Garmin 60 CSx

Still the best GPS on the market for leading hikes.

I've owned a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx for many years, and just helped a friend replace his old one. The newer Garmin GPSMap models have a gigantic navigation arrow that sits over your location, and makes it difficult to keep on track. The 60CSx may not receive as many satellites as the newer models, but records the track well enough. Cleaning the track makes it comparable to a track recorded by the newer models. This unit really shines when you're following a track recorded by someone else.Read full review

Desappointed

I had a GPS like this a long time ago and I really liked its performance, it is a great GPS, for those I bought this refurbished believing that it made a good purchase, but I was disappointed because it did not bring its manual, or cables, or chargers and also I do not know You can't connect it to Garmin or Mapsource. A classic GPS handheld device.

The 60CSx may not be everyone's taste -- it's old by today's standards, so it lacks WiFi, Bluetooth, BLE, NFC, yada yada yada. The simplicity and singular focus of function ( acquiring an accurate GPS location quickly and accurately) is the charm of this device. Read full review

Great little handheld GPS

I bought this for a backup to the one I've been using for quad riding for 4-5 yrs. Its works great and has a better screen then the newer models that some friends bought and are not happy with.

Made the mistake of getting one of the newer Garmins and found that it was not user friendly at all. This one is an excellent unit. It does not have all the bells and whistles that the newer ones have but it is very reliable and has all the info you need to easily make the cache find.Read full review
