Hard hitting and eye opening
Still reading this but I'm near the end. I've been reading some of it in bed before going to sleep which, on occasion, has been a bad idea as the content can be disturbing - but necessarily so. One criticism - sometimes he casts sideways aspersions which are unwarranted - eg castigating 'the ham actor and Australian' Mel Gibson for inaccuracies and bias in his film 'The Passion of Christ' - it's a film for goodness sake - ALL films are inaccurate and at best interpretative - and Mel Gibson was born in America. However, his arguments against (and for) religion are well thought out, forcefully expressed and accurate ... but I think I'll need to do some research to verify the accuracy.Read full review
God is not Great by Christopher Hitchens
Compelling read. Enables you to see Christianity in a different light. However, no matter how compelling a read this is, I would advise you to stick with your Bible inspired teachings about God & your own Christian belief system. Stay strong in your faith

Engaging and convincing
Hitchen's presents a thought provoking and compelling argument about the redundancy of religion in today's world. Anyone holding even the mildest of scepticism towards religion should read this book to be fully converted.Read full review
