Power to spare
For the price, this set is amazing. I put this setup in a vintage RC10 Champ Ed gold pan as an upgrade from brushed. So far, it's been a month and no issues. ESC stays cool and motor just gets slightly warm. The only issue I have is the motor is too powerful for a light car. Most motors in the 4000kv range are 9.5t-7.5t. This one as per spec sheet in the package is 3.5t. Tire spin like crazy until they get hot, then it's backflip wheelies with no effort on 2s lipo and 8.4v nimh. Punch control on the lowest setting and easy on the throttle helps a bit. Top speed is 38mph, but it gets there in 3 seconds even with heavy tire spin on asphalt. Just put on larger diameter rear wheels and tires and will add a few teeth to the spur gear to try to add more to the top end speed and take down on the low end torque. Motor might be better suited for heavier 4wd buggy or SC truck. Definitely fun to play with and great quality for less than half the price then Castle and Hobbywing!Read full review

Installed in a Axial Smt-10 on 2s
Looks exactly as pictured, programming was alittle difficult even with the supplied card, did not want to save program but after multiple attempts it finnally saved. Have not had the chance to run it super hard yet but did have about 10mins of fun in the snow. Rated at 4300kv however my Castle Element system was a 3800kv and was more powerful. But at $40 its worth it to me.Read full review

GoolRC Making You're RC More Fun!
I picked this up to upgrade my RecCAt Volcano that was brushed. and what a difference! This packs a serious punch, I would have given it 5 star but there are a few things you should know:
The ESC is NOT waterproof, you will have to add your own water proofing.
There is a hesitation in the response time of the acceleration, so this would be better suited for speed runs. However, if you can deal with that, or adjust your transmitters throttle trim to remove it you could compensate for that.
I would recommend this for anyone who wants a cheap upgrade to their RC, as with any hobby it will take some tweaking to get it right. I ran this unit with NIMH and LIPO batteries, it does well with both, however a 30C lipo really bring the unit to life. Run-time wide open and hammering the truck was about 16 minutes on a 3800 mah 2S Lipo.Read full review

Awesome motor and ESC for the price
I purchased this motor and esc for my team Associated t4.2 because I wanted more speed. Right away I was impressed with the motor and esc. Super easy install and set up. Love the programming card too! Motor stays nice and cool running a 22tooth pinion and 87spur gear giving my 47mph on a 3s lipo. I would highly recommend this setup for others looking for an inexpensive setup. Read full review

A huge amount of fun for a relatively small investment
This was my first BL motor/ esc purchase, that id picked up for an RC10T3. Even though it was one of the lowest cost combos i could find, the performance was far beyond any brushed motors id previously ran...and this was on 2s, with 3s its just insane. (plus the included tuning card really lets you dial it in)After about a year the esc smoked, but replaced it and the motor keeps soldiering on. Ive owned it going on two years now, and the only problem id had was the melting down of the stock Associated diff gear from all the power delivered by the 4300, but cured this with a metal diff gear. If youve only had experience with the old brushed motors, try one of these...and hang on to your hats.Read full review

Goolrc brushless
It's ok if your looking to go a little faster. Bought for my son it's perfect for him not out of control. But for a entry level moter it's a good purchase.

Good combo for the money.
Works well so far, programming card works great, only disadvantage is it's not waterproof. I also ordered the water proof combo and programming card works with it.

Best budget rc mod
For the price, you really can't beat it. I got it to swap into my wltoys 12423, and it's the best $40 I ever spent on that truck. It runs way cooler than the stock brushed set up, and has way more power too. Set acceleration to 100% and it can wheelie on 2s! It's got a lot of top speed, about 35-40mph on 2s, with about a three to one overall gear ratio running 1.9 inch tires. As a side note, fit and finish are pretty nice, and since the esc is so small it can be tossed into just about anything.Read full review
