Graphtech Is the BEST

I have had great experience with these. They are relatively easy to file and sand. I am always able to fit them perfectly to each guitar. The amazing part is how this small but mighty part can completely eliminate intonation problems. In many cases people over look the nut. Often strings hang up and release randomly causing a host of problems. These are high quality, and slippery so your stings glide over it. This company is great to deal with also. Do yourself a favor and get one.Read full review

Improved tonality and tuning.

Not an exact fit for your fender style neck, but with some modifications it is far better than the plastic nuts common on cheaper guitars. This is my 3rd Tusq nut that I have put on various guitars. Tusq nuts do what they advertise as far as helping to keep your guitar in tune. The string spacing is perfect and I have had to modify the string slots only when setting up a guitar for top-heavy strings.Read full review

Graph Tech Tusq Nut Review

This is an excellent nut both in quality and value. I have used many different kinds including brass with the additional slotting on my Strat & Tele builds, but all future builds will have the Graph Tech as the fit is excellent out of the box along with string spacing and NO string chirp.Read full review

TUSQ nuts rock!

This nut is specifically designed for Strats or Teles. It makes the often irksome job of changing the nut a little more palatable. There is less shaping and cutting required than if using a bone blank. Also the need for "nut sauce" is optional since the lubrication is built into the nut. The high density TUSQ nut is uniform throughout the nut, leaving no worries about soft spots compromising sustain and tone. I thoroughly recommend TUSQ nuts!Read full review

bright, better tone

I was going to sell my MIM strat. It wasn't giving me tone worth keeping it around. Then the nut broke so I had to repair that before selling it. With the tusq in, it sounds two or three steps better. It plays well. The nut upgrade really saved this guitar from the second hand market.Read full review

Great value, good tone.

I instantly noticed a difference in tone and sustain over the plastic nut. I recommend them for basic upgrades on squiers or any other non American model. If you don't go with a bone nut, try the tusq and you won't be disappointed.Read full review

Dave Dunwoody- An American Nut From Canada

About 25 years ago, Dave was SO bored up in Canada, he was sitting around his kitchen table and said to himself, "Hey self, I wonder if I could make me a nut so slippery ay, that no string could ay get caught up and make ay that ay clicky sound ay, especially the G sting ay".

The rest is history ay.

Consistent and workable.

Easier to work and more consistent structurally than bone. Some may prefer the sound of bone, but I have grown to like Tusc and use it whenever I have to change a nut.
