Great for Ruger AR-556
I picked up this spring kit to help the stock trigger pull of my Ruger. The price was right and I found a couple videos online demonstrating the swap procedure. It took about thirty minutes taking my time and being very careful since I'm still very new to AR rifles and this was my first foray into the "guts". The most difficult part was lining up all of the holes during reassembly, but a long punch helped with that. I also learned that the safety HAS to come out in order to get the trigger out. To do THAT, you must first use a long allen wrench to remove the bolt holding in the grips. Don't even get started if you don't have one. There's a long spring and detent in the handle that holds the safety in. Once they're out, the safety and trigger will fall right out. Don't lose the spring and detent!
After reassembly, I found that the trigger pull is still smooth, but reduced from about 7 lbs to around 4 lbs. Then I loaded a primed, empty case in the chamber and fired. It popped quite resoundingly! I was concerned that the lower power spring might have problems with my primers, but it actually left a very serious dent! I'll have to take to the range now for a good workout!
Overall, for the low price, ease of installation, and great trigger improvement, I think it's a great deal!Read full review

Smooth on a PSA EPT TGC
Extremely light on a range AR for target practice. Smooth as a fresh shave on EPT grade TGC. Barely feel any trigger resistance opposed to stock springs. Very easy to install and no issues after hundreds of rounds so far. Highly recommend for a range gun. Due to legal issues, not recommended for EDC or home defense firearms. Wonderful drop-in enhancement however.Read full review

3.5lb, not really
I bought one of these for a gritty AR that I built using standard Anderson lower parts. The original trigger pull was hard. About 7 lbs by my scale. After putting in this spring kit it lowered the pull to 5.5 lbs. A little more enjoyable to shoot but was looking for more. I bought another kit and put it an AR pistol that I built with a more pricey standard trigger kit. This one was 8 lbs on the scale. I bought a second spring kit for this one and realized about 6.5 lbs of pull. In summery, I got a reduction of about 1.5 lbs in each application for me. If you are currently at 5-5.5 lbs you may get 3.5 as an end result, not sure. Was it an improvement for me? YES, Did I get 3.5 lbs as advertised? NORead full review

Great upgrade to any ar15 platform
This is a great little upgrade to bring the pull weight of the trigger down. This is an inexpensive upgrade that can be performed in only a few minutes. The only drawback I can find is with some military surplus ammo with very hard primers you may have a few misfires, but stick with standard ammo and you won't have a problem. Quality of this kit was good.Read full review

Lightened Trigger Pull Nicely
Checking trigger pull with a digital gauge, it averaged 2.5 lbs.! It can't handle Wolf Magnum small rifle primers though, very light strikes and takes two or three tries to finally ignite the primer. Not a fault of the springs though.Read full review

Allows for a little bit smoother trigger pull while getting better material in the metal
if you put the set in a stock ar platform you will get about 4 to 5 Pound pull. Now if it would have gave me a 3 1/2 pound pull like it actually says I would have gave five stars. As my seers in my gun are very polished already. So if you polish them even more you're also going to get all the grit out of your trigger pull, if you have any.Read full review

Lighten your trigger pull
These springs lightened the perceived trigger pull on my carbine by about half. Its not a match trigger by any means but the release is much more consistent than with the MIL-SPEC parts

AR Spring kit
Stock mil-spec springs were giving me an average 7.6 to 8 lb. trigger pull. New JP spring kit didn't drop it to 3.5 lb, but I'm getting an average 4.5 lb. pull. I figure polishing a few trigger faces, better lube, & putting some rounds through to break everything in, might drop it a bit more. If not, I'm happy with a 4.5 trigger pull. Thanx JP.Read full review

Haven't used it yet, only installed it.
Hopefully this kit will be good for the long run. But for what I've seen on a dry fire, with my thumb catching the hammer, you can certainly tell a difference of how smooth it is on the pull and lock.

Money spent wisely!!
Worked exactly as advertised, well worth the cost! I've ordered two already, and my friends also installed them in their AR's. Even without the gadgets to measure trigger pull, you could definitely feel the difference from milspec.Read full review
