WOW! Blown away by the excellent quality and sound.

Having owned a professional Yamaha alto sax, I wasn't expecting much from a budget saxophone. But, I got to say, this has to be the best budget sax I have ever played! The build quality was excellent and the fit and finish was also right on the money. There was absolutely no adjustments that I had to make to any of the keys or pads. The sound quality is pretty balanced. Not too bright or too muffled. Also, excellent action on the key springs. Did I mention the case? Well, the case is great! It's not some cheap flimsy case that may last a few months. They did a great job on the case as well. When closed, everything in the case is very secured. If you're looking for a budget saxophone and would like the sound and quality of a more expensive saxophone, I highly recommend the Jean Paul AS400 Alto Saxophone. Read full review

Delivered to the wrong house and neck tenon is WAY too tight.

The sax just arrived and I can’t even get the sax neck into the body because the tenon is too tight! May have to end up getting a replacement sax.

Great alto sax for the money spent.

Excellent sax, in much better shape than I was expecting, plays nicely, very clean playing/sounding sax. Perfect for student thru intermediate level players. I bought this for my granddaughter who is in HS, I compared it with my Selmer Mark VI, doesn’t even come close BUT it did play nicely compared to the altos I have made by Yamaha (61) and Taiwan (unison) so they are a very viable horn. Overall a great student sax

I bought this sax to replace my daughter's old sax. Its a great sax for the most part and plays well. I give it 4 stars because of the ligature. It doesn't tighten far enough to secure the reed. These seems to be a problem with jean paul saxes. She also had the same problem with her tenor jean paul. I still highly recommend this sax for student players, just buy another ligature for it.Read full review

What a way to blast through the nonsense of our daily grind

It is loud and shiny the way i like. I have a feeling there will be many fine ladies coming my way due to this horn. It is my understanding that women cannot resist the sweet sound of a saxophone and so it follows that I should purchase this product and I did. I still must learn the basics of sound production before reaping the benefits and so it may be a good deal of time until the facts of this review can be stated with certainty. I have thus far found no defects of manufacture, though, owing to my inexperience, my scrutiny may lack the technical rigor to be of any avail.
