I'm still working on trying to figure out all the details. The one thing that just doesn't seem right, however, is that the clock displays only when the radio is shut down. Has its Plusses and Minuses

This isn't a bad product. Overall it looks nice, has as much power as any other after market head unit, and has a lot of connectivity (phone, blue-tooth, etc.) Of course, I think most head units around this price point have those things. Here is what I like:
1) Nice big knob to raise/lower volume
2) Many custom EQ bands
3) Adjustable colors
4) Bouncing EQ bars while music plays
5) Dedicated subwoofer out
6) Front USB/Aux input

Here is what I don't like:
1) Display is way too dim, even at highest setting
2) Only 2 "zones" for color adjustment
3) Difficult to change EQ settings on the fly
4) Manual doesn't do much to explain "sound effect" settings
5) Screen does not have a high enough resolution, so the clock looks pretty stupid
6) Menus and sub-menus can be difficult to navigate
7) Controls for advancing folder, tracks, repeat, etc, not laid out very logically

I have not yet tired the hands free calling, though the microphone is included.

Overall, for this price point I think it's okay. I kept it because I'm not sure that any other head unit in this category would do things significantly better. I was also a little disappointed that the refurbished unit that I bought didn't come with the Toyota adapter I needed, even though it is listed as included in the manual.Read full review

If you read the instructions, installing this and setting it up is really easy. It has all of the settings you can ever need. As you can see in my photos, the clock display is very bold and large and the date is easily seen also. Everything that you need is available on this unit. When you set everything up correctly, the music comes to life. Although the brightness could be better because at the max setting of 31 in daylight, it's not that easy to see especially when it's very bright outside. When it's dark though, it's very bright and very easy to see. If the display color was bright white then it would make it much easier to see. I installed this in my 2013 Dodge Dart SXT on Sunday July 1, 2018. I had to modify the bezel for the dash and remove the existing metal plate behind the radio and cut off the plastic that was behind the radio with a Milwaukee cordless sawzall. The wire harnesses adapter that I bought was terrible, the instructions for the amp turn on were wrong, they had 2 amp turn on wires but they didn't work when I connected either of them to the remote wire going to my aftermarket amplifier. I had to connect it to the Orange illumination wire then it worked along with the ignition to turn the amplifier on and off. It took me a hell of a long time to find out what wire to use even with the multimeter. I found out that my deck turns off with the key out of the ignition and the driver door open. That's Only with Dodge Dart SXT I guess that's how it's wired. It doesn't turn off when you open the other doors. I'm not sure if it will turn off after a few minutes or so like how the interior dome lights does after a few minutes. I haven't tried it. I soldered my connections instead of using wire splice but connectors. It has 3 sets of rca connections - front, rear and subwoofer. You don't need rca Y adapters if you're using a 4 channel amplifier and a 1 channel subwoofer amplifier with this deck. I bought them before installing the deck but I don't need them. I ran 13 ft of knuconcepts Krystal twisted rca cable for my amplifier because those wires are extremely heavy duty. I have yet to install the amplifier, wiring, limitless lithium battery, connectors, subwoofer, enclosure, 12 Maxwell Super Capacitors and a GP Car Audio High Output Alternator. Total spent in just 1 month for ONLY CAR AUDIO = $6,000.00 Crazy ain't it lol. My friends and family said the same thing to me about it. That's how you know that you're a car audio addict! I sleep, dream and think about car audio all the time and watch car audio videos on youtube every day! LMFAO!Read full review

Stereo works great. Takes a little time to get things set up to ones liking, but once done, the sound quality is great with the 13 band equalizer. Also saw on a couple of reviews where there was a complaint of a dim display. It seems plenty bright to me. There is a dimmer setting where one can set the brightness where one likes.
