Interesting but complicated little robot.
My granddaughter told me she wanted a Lego robot to build for Christmas. I purchased this model because it looked interesting and was not weaponized. The completed model looks realistic and the wheels on the bottom make it more fun to play with. The box indicates the model is for children 7 to 12 years old. While an 10 to 11 year old child would complete this robot without too much difficulty, children 7 and 8 probably need some help. My seven-year-old granddaughter was able to figure out how to set up the inverted triangles that support the shoulders. However, she did not get all of them in the exact slot necessary. It took me 10 or 15 min. to get it exactly right. She had difficulty conceptualizing that the arms made a 90° turn from the body. Once I showed her how one of them worked, she put the other one together without too much difficulty. I would recommend this Lego set for children of appropriate age range interested in making robots or something other than houses, boats, or cars.Read full review

Campy future space bot from the past
This one is just nostalgia for me. I friend of mine had it growing up and I loved the arms, and all of the compartments in the back. It's a very "campy" design with the goofy face and rollers for legs. It is still a great robot, embodying the Lego Spyrius sets in an affordable but flash and satisfying kit.Read full review
