This "bulb" is well made and fits well. It gives a good beam but is not focusable as the old bulb was overall it is a thousand times better that the old bulb was. I do not regret buying this for one second. However if it is a 1000 lumens I will eat my hat! More like three or four hundred in my humble opinion. Fits. However..

Very expensive for what it is. My Maglite is approximately 30yrs old.
It could of done with a half size spacer. There was a spacer in the kit but, this seems to be for a slightly different assembly.
The overall light output isn't bad however, I would of expected it to be a little brighter. Maybe I expected too much. However, my maglite is a 5 D cell, and I would have thought that it could have handled a much brighter output.
When you consider that this little drop in unit costs approximately half the price of a good new LED torch. I would suggest that one thinks carefully before laying out quite a bit of money to update an old torch. Read full review

21st Century Maglite Upgrade!

Maglite upgrade

Brought this upgrade for my maglite it is the best thing I've spent money on all year,
