An interesting account of women serving in WW2

Maidens' Trip (note correct use of the apostrophe) is a fictionalised account of her WW2 service on the English canals. A crew of 3 women took a pair of cargo-carrying narrow boats along the canals and cuts. Living conditions were cramped and the work was physically hard, but there was the companionship of fellow crew members and interesting encounters with others working on or by the canals, as well as the changing countryside.Read full review

Good read.

A great description of a period of history. Well written and a story of how hard Women worked during WW11 on the canal barges.
