Heavy but superb quality
This replaced a battery cordless pole trimmer and is a step up in quality.
It came fully assembled with a pre-delivery inspection from Wadkins. Also included was the optional shoulder strap and a pair of safety glasses.
It started easily and is fairly quiet in use.
The only downside is the weight, there isn’t a lot that can be done about it, the shoulder strap helps but anyone considering one of these who is weak needs to think again or spend some time at the gym.

Makita got it wrong with this one
Having received the hedge trimmer found the cutting head very difficult to assemble on the main shaft, almost to the point of hanging on it, motor always sounds as it's labouring, heavy to use, I have a Makita ptr2500 also, 2stroke motor, had it 10 years with no problems, and very light, bring back the 2 stroke ptr2500.Read full review
