Poor quality, nowhere as good as the original.

Looks good and I don't doubt that it is a genuine Mercedes part. However, the material that it is made from is very inferior compared to the original. For example the two lugs which are used to turn and lock the star in place broke off at the first attempt. Compared to the original which has been on the car for 22 years there is just no comparison. The original turns and locks in palce beautifully; the replacement is frankly rubbish, hardly surprising when I saw on the box " Made In Turkey". I will probably glue the old star back into its original base and fit that at some stage. At least I know that the old star is good, original quality.Read full review

Best quality genuine article

Bought to replace the one on my good old E220 Estate that finally broke off in the carwash after 22 years! Arrived on time and well-packaged. Although more expensive than pattern ones, I went for the genuine Mercedes article to complement the lasting high quality of the car, and I was not disappointed. The fitting as such is not difficult, although it took a bit of winkling around because of the bonnet metalwork in the way. Now makes the car look proud again.Read full review

Quality metal and chrome product that looks just like the original - not surprising as it is a genuine Mercedes part. Easy to fit - took a couple of minutes once I'd found a YouTube video explaining how to fit it (the part doesn't come with instructions as i guess they are expecting it to be fitted by a Mercedes dealer). Rattling great condition
