NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB) Graphics Card

An absolute beast

I bought this GPU a year ago for gaming, but then got interested in style transfer for video using deep neural networks. It's a good job that I bought the GPU first, because the 2xGTX760 SLI setup I was running before isn't capable of anything like this card is on its own.

Also in the off-hours I have started using it to mine Vertcoin, with favourable results. I get 35MH/s on the Lyra2RE2 algo.

Plays GTAV on top settings without even breaking a sweat. Passes the VR benchmarks I tried with flying colours. This GPU paired with a G-sync monitor will be enough to satisfy almost anyone. The only complaint I have is that the Ethereum boom has driven up the cost. I paid £329 for mine and at that price it is good value, but they are more expensive now, a year later, and the new Volta GPU's are due to be released soon.Read full review

Great card but still gone sell it.

This thing performs way better than the RX470 that I was using but.........
I can dual boot a Mac EASILY with the AMD item, whereas this gives me problems, (it's not the fault of the card - it's the Nvidia fight with Apple). After a tiring search fort Mac drivers and having to run and out of date MacOS and booting to black screens I've given up.

I can't be bothered to get it flashed so I'll upgrade to another AMD card.Read full review
