Awesome rail system.
Got this rail and am very pleased. Fits great and very secure. Only had one problem and that was how it is aligned. It sets on the splined barrel nut and if that is not perfectly aligned, any optics mounted on the top rail will be slightly off to the left or right. Will not maintain a fixed position.
At first glance the NcStar Vmarkmce appeared to be a quality product, much lighter weight than the three piece quad rail I was removing from my DPMS even though it was much longer, 13" compared to 10.5" to the quad rail and a full 7 ounces lighter. It wasn't until after installation that I realized its not fixed on one position, it freely moves back and forward with the spring on the delta ring and there is some rotational movement as well. This make it totally unsuitable for any type of precision sighting equipment such as laser, holographic red dot, etc. Which nullify the index repeatability of the keymod system. It will only be suitable for things such as lights, grips, bipods and other items not requiring none movable and solidly fixed location.Read full review

Excellent product. Fitment is great and it's a very solid option
I waited to review this until I installed it and put rounds down range. It is a very solid system for mounting accessories of any desire. I used it on a S&W M&P 15. If your wanting to upgrade an entry level off shelf rifle this is perfect for it. This is not a gun I wanted to go all out on and sink a bunch of money in. If I was working on a custom build I would probably choose a better free-float system. But for a base rifle that I just want to add a few options to this was a perfect choice. With a bipod a grip a light and laser mounted it done very well. 1800 rounds later the laser was still on zero and true, all the accessories were still mounted secure and tight and the hand guard/rail system was still good and tight and secure. I would be comfortable relying on this. The only con that I can find is that it does heat up. Not to bad but it does. You might want to consider a grip or adding hand guards over rails before doing very much rapid fire practice.Read full review

Fairly detailed review of this kit. B/c this drop-in uses both the D-ring + A2 sight retainer plate for retention and fits snug with the bayonet lug + A2 sling mount, this handguard is every bit as stable and robust (is not more so) than your standard M4 heat shield or Magpul MOE handguard. Plenty of people mount optics or irons back up sights on those
Will it beat a full cast aluminum free float rail in accuracy, probably not, but weight cut, adaptability( fits pretty much any model AR with a D-ring and retainer plate), got both keymod and m-lok versions, and looks is why I turn right back around and got it.
