Good quality entry level turntable that helps you be social and still keep your records intact
This is an entry-level turntable in the sense that it is good quality, and won't destroy your vinyl. It is obviously a good bit more expensive than many other turntables, but worth the price if you are at all serious about preserving your collection. The only downside is that it does not have phono outputs. However, it apparently has a good quality preamplifier inside (unconfigurable), as it sounds more or less identical, using the aux input to the same amp, to the Dual CS503-1, which only has phono outputs. It is ideal for basic 'automatic' use. To play a record that is on the turntable, you press a play button, and it automatically finds the beginning of the record, press the stop button and it resets to the arm rest. It also has an 'arm elevation' button, which is effectively a pause function, lifting the arm until you press again. You can manually position the arm before pressing to continue. This means that you can fairly safely point other people to play your records and look cool about it.
I recommend it highly if a) you are willing to give up control of the signal that phono outputs might give you with high end amplifiers, and b) you want to make sure your partner and other friends don't destroy your collection without coming across as someone who has invested a bit too much emotion in their collection.Read full review

Pioneer Turntable
Pioneer have made some amazing turntables over the years this tuntable is well made in come from the 1980s & was fitted with a MC cart not the MM cart found on most lower end Decks you can't go wrong buying this turntable the real sleeper is the PL-930 now that deck can take on the PL-4000 in sound & builed & will beat any Rega turntable for sound it will even take on the Denon Turntables I should know I've had them over the years I always fined myself going back to Pioneer for some reason I've even got the PLX-1000 but I like the good old decks from the golden age of the 80s MC cart and stylus was the last stand to take on the CD player but we all moved on to CD it was too late until the come backRead full review

Still Great
Pioneer has been around for years, this item has been added to equipment I already have that dates back to the 90's It is well made and produces a very good sound. Pioneer seems to produce consistently high quality goods. If anything the only bad point is it has no phono out but has to be connected into an aux input on the amp.Read full review

Of scratching the record or the stylus

One of the best turntables around.
The best turntable I've ever had, it runs well, and sounds brilliant, almost as good as some of the DJ decks. I'm very pleased with it.
