Pioneer TS-G1720F 6.69 inch Coaxial Speakers - Black

Co-Axial driver units - Hmmm.

I was expecting more treble from a 2 way co-axial unit, more than a very old set of Pioneer TS-G1010's anyway. But for the price, difficult to complain about. Not sure I would go down the co-axial drivers route again. I can see no evidence of any sort of meaningful crossover. With only one set of terminals, where would you fit an LF blocking capacitor or an HF blocking inductor. Perhaps I should have gone for the cheaper units with the alloy Whizzer cone. Doesn't fit all T5 Transporters

I'm really enjoying the new speakers - a huge improvement on the stock ones. However, this kit does not fit all T5 Transporters, as our 2009 model had a larger spacer and different bolt pattern in the door. As a result, a lot of drilling and cutting was required both to the van door and the spacer in order to mate the two. Can also highly recommend getting some sticky-back sound deadening matt to put behind the speaker whilst it's out.Read full review

Significantly better than OE Peugeot 508 speakers

Bought for a Peugeot 508. The original Peugeot speakers have tiny magnets and do not respond well on the motorway when you turn up the radio. They also suffer with frequency distortion. When I connected these up, I actually LOST sound but it was all the frequency response distortion you DONT want so the volume seemed initially quiet but actually, the sound is significantly better both at volume and also in terms of the frequency you are actually hearing. In short, no hiss anymore. I did have to make a spacer out of the old speakers with a Dremel though as it was not a straight fit (the glass window clipped the magnets) but all in all, a significantly better sound at motorway speeds and 4 times more capable of more volume if I was to upgrade the stereo at any point in the future. These speakers seem to me, on as yet limited use, to handle the frequency range required by organ sounds - the most testing and extreme of all - very adequately. I have yet to test them on a wider range of material. The ease of fitment and build quality for the price seem to me to be very good indeed and the match with existing equipment perfect.
