GREAT Sander!!!

This was sooooo easy for me to setup and use! I am a "novice" woodworker, but this is MUCH easier to use and makes sanding my projects even easier!! No workshop is complete without it!!

Nice Upgrade

This unit was purchased to replace an older unit I'd been using for years. What really impressed me with the Porter-Cable is that it's so much more powerful, and tracks beautifully. On many of these units you have to reset the tracking frequently, not this sander. Though the dust catch bag doesn't catch everything it does get most of it. Let's face it, unless you're hooked to a powered dust collector there will be getaway dust. If you're needing a bench top combination sander, check this one out. Porter Cable & Warped Parts?

I bought this because of the brand name. When I received this brand new 8x4 sander I assembled it only to discover the circle sander wheel/plate was warped. Its pretty bad. Its about a 1/4" higher on one side so the sanding surface warbles as it spins.
Not a biggy, that the two table tops were pitted, and scratched up pretty good but it is a problem when the table tops themselves do not align properly with the sander surfaces.
