Radiohead - Amnesiac
This album is a work of art. I do not care if people rave and rant about 'the bends' or 'Ok computer' being radiohead's best work. For my money, this is the album that will stand the test of time as the most 'ahead of it's time' piece of audio wizardry ever to hit your ears.
For those of you who are not convinced: take time out (you deserve it) sit down quietly somewhere with a drink of choice and lose yourself. I guarantee (so long as you give it a fair hearing in the correct state of mind) that you will truely be transported!
'Pyramid Song' alone is worth the asking price and still rates as one of my favourite tracks by any artist.Read full review...
Radiohead- Amnesiac
Bought this album from Music Dog For £12 back in June 2004. When I listened to it the first several hundred times I thought 'wtf.' The track which goes 'come come on if you think your hard enough,' the first minute of that song struck me how over inflated the ego of this band had was. The music is very inaccessible and way to leftfield to pick up on. The majority of people don't want to listen to anything that is dark to the nth degree (which is why alot of the top 40 goth band come out of Kerrang magazine) Just sounded like failed Indie formula number 5 to me (cause all the indie kids will strongly disagree with you).Read full review...
