The reel pin broke within 1 month, avoid and get a metal one for a bit more
The overall design was good and sturdy, its plastic filled with maybe cement to weigh it down. The central pin that holds the tape in the holder was made out of thin plastic, which broke just through wear and tear after only 4 weeks light use! It should have been made with metal.
I bought this thinking that it would last longer than the other cheap ones but they're all the same just branded different.

WHY DIDN'T I ORDER THIS YEARS AGO
I bought this because I do not have a dentist. How many of us use our teeth just to tear a bit of tape off? My front teeth have now fallen out, gradually, since lockdown and now I cannot use my teeth. So I tried the "proper" method of using scissors and oh, it drove me up the wall - put the article down, pick up the scissors, cut, lay down scissors, use the tape. It's ok if you are only doing one parcel but I have a lot to do plus I cover cardboard boxes with wrapping paper to store things. I had one of these at work many years ago and was delighted to find them on ebay. Since its arrival, it sits of the coffee table next to me and you would be surprised how often, during the day, that I use it. Best thing since sliced bread!!Read full review

I broke our tape dispenser whilst I was wrapping Christmas presents so this is a replacement. Our old one was a cheaper make so I decided to go for a reputable make this time. I’ve had one of these tape dispensers when I was working. I’m now retired, so decided to purchase one for myself and daughter. It’s a substantial product with no frills. It’s weighty so it doesn’t move around whilst pulling the tape to the cutter. It’s perfect when wrapping presents so you can hold the paper with one hand and use the other hand to extract the tape.
