Bought the Model 3 Raspberry Pi to supplement my older Model A+ Pi. Fantastic little computer, much faster than the previous models, and great value for money. If you haven't got one, and you like nerdy computer things, get the latest model, or even a trimmed-down Raspberry Pi Zero. Set up is very easy, even if you need to create a new micro-SD card with the Raspbian OS on it. I used the BerryBoot option to install the new Raspian Jessie OS, as well as OpenElec, so I could install Kodi and use the Pi as a home media centre. nice and small bought for 3d printer, after a week of trying onboard wifi wont set up works ok with wired internet but that defeats the object. so far i would say dont buy one maybe in a few weeks i will change my mind who knows.Read full review

Brilliant although its quite specific.

Clever bits of kit at an unbeatable price. I use Octoprint for 3d printers and not having to break the bank I am able to have one PI for each printer. Very well made and thought out although it really does need an on/off button. Most importantly though this item is British made although many foreign copies are available which visible dont share the same care and detail in the manufacturing. My purchase included an SD card which unfortunately was faulty. However the price of my PI was lower than what it costs normally so not an issue. Ideal for my SeeDeClip4 music server rig.

Not as fast as an Intel i7 but it gets the job done, runs a full Debian Linux OS and can be used as a backup machine, for R&D and for music and video serving.

It's also tiny, powered off a tiny USB socket and behaves like a large Linux PC of only a few years ago, but has no noise and no heat, just a slight warmth here and there.

This is a swiss army knife of usefulness as well as being educational and fun. If you just want to ditch expensive, unreliable, bloated proprietary systems, it can give you a lightweight introduction to some of the alternatives.

The pi is simple to get started with, as there are loads of step by step guides on the net, but it is also a perfectly capable machine that can handle all sorts of tasks - it can act as a media or web server, smart CCTV, robot brains, iot hub, multimedia set-top box, or just a desktop computer. What's to say? It's a Raspberry Pi Model 3, with Noobs on a micro SD card. Plug it in, and it does what you'd expect. Not very quickly, but again, that's what you'd expect.

The best feature of this raspberry is undoubtedly its integrated wireless and bluetooth. Furthermore it is very fast compared to previous versions.
