An excellent single board computer and good upgrade from the Pi 3.
I collect single board computers and this is fantastic for what it is - a sensibly priced gateway to real computing. While phrases such as Desktop replacement are often used, it is a substitute for a machine for light web browsing and basic office applications but this is no speed machine - it is comfortably outperformed by my dual core take-everywhere Celeron netbook.
The Raspberry Pis still have the broadest and strongest community support out of all single board computers. This alone makes it a superior purchase.
For 40 pounds for the 2Gb version delivered, you really can't go wrong with this.Read full review

Pi 4 running PiHPSDR SDR transceiver.
The Pi is a very worthwhile upgrade of the Pi3 B and B+ it runs PiHPSDR, an open source SDR transceiver
application, much better than any previous Raspberry Pi!
2GB RAM is more than adequate for this application as previous Pis had only 1GB and another advantage
is that it appears to run 4 to 5 Deg C. cooler than the Pi 3B+ running under the same conditions.
I use a heatsink on the CPU and I would recommend this but it can be run without if it is well ventilated but
my SDR is in a screened box.
I liked it so much that I have ordered another one for a similar project but I found it more than £7 cheaper elsewhere so worth shopping around...

Amazing little gizmos!
These are amazing little computers. I use a few as endpoints for a multi-room audio system, with awesome free software as the OS. A fraction of the cost of branded systems and (probably) just as good.
I am sure there are other uses for them - which would make them even better.Read full review

Just the job..
1st class job got it on Sat morning and had it up and running with my MMDVM Hotspot. Just about to order an other as I have a new Nextion Screen on it's way. As these a Pi4 they are that bit faster and run smoother with the Hotspot and a Nextion Screen.. Just the job for me if you are running a Hotspot I would run it on the Pi 4 that bit more power..Read full review
