MDQ

"I bought 3pcs so far, its ok to use for something else in my workshop, but don`t fit for Chevy engine without modification. And just in case the person who packing, need to learn to count. If need 13 screw and washer don`t put just 11 screw and 7 washer.

So, keep couple of spare screw in your workshop if you choose this product.

Adaptable and convenient for light use

I bought this specifically for use with motorcycle engines, unlikely to exceed 100kg by much so well withing the stated capacity. With a couple of simple brackets (drilled angle) I was able to mount a Triumph Thruxton engine to the rotatable plate. With this 90kg load, I could slide the T leg a few inches back through the main frame and out of the way of my feet when working on the engine.
The rotatable plate has a locating pin with holes at 60° intervals. If the engine is not mounted with its centre of gravity close to the axis of rotation, it can be quite a strain to rotate even a 100kg with the short handle supplied.
I am not convinced that this would be suitable for use at the maximum stated load of 450 kg, especially with long engines (straight 6 or 8). The whole engine weight is cantilevered from a welded joint at the rotatable plate and another at the base of the main mast.

Solid and stable BUT

The engine mounting plate is made for a far larger engine than the Lotus Twink I bought it for.

I was able to use it only after having drilled new mount holes and welded the originals.

That said, and if you can mod it to suit your own circumstance, it is good value and you should be OK.Read full review

Design needs improvement.

Good solid device, BUT, assembly of the swivel wheels to the frame was difficult due to there being no easy was to prevent the swivel operating whilst attempting to tighten with the very limited spanner space. Also the plate to holh the engine has insufficient space and adjustment for a large engine.Read full review

450kg Heavy Duty Engine Stand

Bought this stand on the basis of other reviews for it and thought I’ve give my opinion.
It’s of a decent quality, comes with instructions and took about 20 mins to put together. Very easy to use and it holds my Lotus 907 engine with no issues whatsoever. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a value for money engine stand for a lightweight engine. Read full review

Rockwood engine stand 560kg

Easy to bolt together, heavy duty good strong casters for moving. Locking pin on the swivel mount would be better if a little longer.
But ideal for a diy mechanic for small projects.

Great stand only issue is handle

Cant really fault it for the price, holds my 220kg supra 7m engine but cant see it safely holding double that, swivel handle is a bit to short and makes it difficult to rotate engine on your own but does workRead full review

engine stand

i bought this for rebuilding my Austin 7 engine

i would agree with one of the other comments but i drilled a hole and used a washer and split pin

Over all it is amazing value for your cash and i no one is making very monies (£32.00) much on it

so if you want to buy an engine stand i would buy this one.

Decent quality engine stand . Works well on small to medium engines . Large motors may be a bit of a struggle . It’s well made and finished . Easy to assemble.
