Good quality replacement.

This aerial seal for my Corsa is a pretty good fit. The tip on the video to soak the seal in warm water to get it supple is a must to get a good fit.
It is a vast improvement over the original seal that over many years in the elements had eroded and split into three bits.
Overall very pleased.

Good quality but slightly too big.

Comprehensive measurements made this a good bet but was actually a bit too big (long). Easy to fit. Quite surprised as to how many variants there seem to be when searching for the item. Seems to be well made and I may do a bit of 'surgery' to improve the fit but there are no leaks. Read full review...

Easy Aerial Rubber Replacement

I came across this aerial rubber replacement while researching on youtube how to repair the base of my aerial. In view of the small price, it seemed worth a try before attempting any removal of the roof lining for a "proper" repair with an original equipment item. It worked really well and I am very happy with the results. It was also easier to fit than the video instructions implied. At worst you could only describe it as "fiddly". Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a similar repair needRead full review...

Car aerial replacement seal.

even after putting this in warm water it was still a little difficult to fit on my Vauxhall Zafira. Probably not helped by the height of the vehicle and standing on a ladder to fit. It does appear to have fitted in place but will not know for sure how good the seal is until such time as we have a good downpour of rain.
Should there be any problems I will come back and explain. So far so good.

Tips on fitting

My old gasket was cracked with bits missing so ordered this new one. (Please be sure to get right size) removed old gassed by gentle cutting and you may want to tape off paint work. Clean around base while soaking new seal in hot water to make it slightly stretchy . Stretch over base and start to tuck lip under base using small screw driver .when seated all round it should follow the contour shape getting wider at the very bottom. as it cools it goes back to its firm state so won't move about in order to seal out the weather , job done !!Read full review...

Tight fit, good seal, looks smart.

This can be fitted without loosening the antenna, but it is not as easy as the video makes it look. You will need to heat the gasket in a mug of boiling water to give it the flexibility needed and you will need a flat bladed screwdriver to ease into place. That said it does give a very tight seal and looks much smarter than the decayed older one did.Read full review...

VW and Chrysler Crossfire

I have tried 3 seals to replace the one on my Chrysler Crossfire convertible that had cracked and started to let water into the boot, one of the others was advertised for the Crossfire but was deformed and let water into the boot worse than the old one ,I thought I would try the one from X8R that was advertised for the VW and it fits as good as the original, the design of the seal wraps under the antenna base and once fitted it stays in place, once the nut was done up on the antenna it clamped down nicely with no gaps between the body and the seal or the seal and the antenna base looks factory!!!Read full review...

Good solution!

Bought this for my Astra H 2008 - original seal was rotted and falling off. I had to loosen my aerial base by unscrewing the retaining bolt inside the roof to get enough play on the aerial to slide this over into position properly, but its a perfect fit and better quality seal that the older version. Cheaper than buying a whole new aerial base which is at least £50!Read full review...

A Seal that Fits

I had tried two previous "cures" for a potentially leaking aerial seal on my Astra. The first was a simple seal that was too large and secondly a Shark Fin aerial that didn't pick up signals. I was rather fed up with poor products, so I bought yours, a little more expensive but a perfect fit. I am really pleased with the result, thank you. I shall in future use you [a genuine parts co] for the things I may need.Read full review...

Tricky to fit but once its fitted it's very good.

This was very tricky to fit but helped by putting it in warm water for a while. But once fitted it does a great job and car better than the £90 the main dealer wanted cos they only sell the whole aerial. Read full review...

Bit Fiddly but Worth It

After the original seal perished we found this product after a search. It seemed good value and far cheaper than probably having to replace more than just the seal. Fitting it was a bit fiddly although it turned out to be a good fit. The product wasn't very pliable and found it necessary to warm it with a hairdryer to enable easier fitting. Cosmetically it looks fine although I'm not sure about the long term ability to keep water out, time will tell.Read full review...
