Good for gutters as well as drains
I bought them not to clear a drain but a 10 meter long gutter which is not gettable
as it's covered by the roof of my carport along its whole length. Roof moss grows
on the roof under there and drops into the gutter, blocking it. The twister end tool
breaks up clumps of moss which can then be pushed to the gutter end to drop out.
A great tool.Read full review

Good rods - poor bag
All as you would expect except a very poor "bag" to hold it all. It is cheap plastic and arrived with a rip all along the entire length of it. So completely useless.
Not really what you want when you need to store away your drain rods that have been shoved down a pipe that was filled with human waste and other unsavoury solids and liquids. Even after a pressure wash there are still some unhygenic remains left on the rods. So you'd want a bag which affords some sort of protection.
I had to "repair" the bag with loads of gaffa tape as seen in the pic.Read full review

Drain rods
Bought to add length to a previous set as I have a couple of long drainage runs.

Broke on first use
Bought this to clear a blocked gutter drain to a soak away. Used the claw attachment but when the rods were withdrawn from the pipe the claw had gone, broken off at the threads. The threads seem to be a weak spot and won’t take heavy use. Would advise paying a few pounds more and buying better quality.Read full review

Silverline drain rod set
I only had access to my outside kitchen drain so was unable to use the tool and the rods fully. The plunger tool with a rod is a lifesaver and performs brilliantly. The set comes a clear pvc bag which is good but may not last. Down your main sewer drain this would work the task at hand.Read full review

Not up to the job
The worm screw fitting is too short and the rods become loose. The rods themselves are too flexible and bend too easy when they hit an obstruction ie when used up a chimney flue.

fantastic value and did the job
I had a very serious blockage in the waste drains at home and was able to use the worm to remove some debris and then the plunger , and then with some agitation I managed to unblock the sewage and it was fantastic to see it all dissappear. I had had a plumber look at it and he said he thought it may be too difficult to do with rods, but these worked so well, I did not need him in the end !!!Read full review

Very poor quality
Very flimsy flexible rods only suitable for the slightest of blockages. 2 rods creased and buckled once the plunger reached the blockage in my sewer pipe. Cheap but false economy.
