Surround Sound Solution for PCs

Great little device, uses window's drivers so its just plug & play - no clunky drivers or software to install. I used it for the SPDIF out to give me a digital connection with surround sound capability. It does use the slightly less common 3.5mm jack for the optical out so an adaptor or suitable cable will probably be needed.
Win10 will only list two channel output formats for the device but if you run a surround sound capable program it automatically outputs as such.Read full review

Quality startech USB Sound Card !

Once i had received by delivery the package is very easy to set-up
just insert the installation CD into the PC/Laptop drive to boot setup
for some like my self even though the CD booted and showed in the
My Computer menu it did not auto Show me the setup menu to install.
What you want to do for those with the same problem it's very simple just
go to the Start Menu with the windows emblem in the left bottom corner on your Laptop or PC.
And go to my computer and open up a page you will see the C: Drive's memory and below
is the DVD Drive if it shows the memory size of CD or DVD that means the Disc
is fully Loaded you want to direct your mouse curser onto the DVD Drive and right click
the right button of Mouse or Laptop Surface Button and in the option their will be a option
called Open just click that option and wait for the contents of CD or DVD to load and Once
it is showing the files scroll down to SETUP and double click to open up the installation.
And follow the Set-up carefully follow instruction's but before you begin the installation Remember that
you must insert the USB StarTech Sound Card into the USB Port and wait for the computer to find
the Unknown installation it will say USB installing please wait till a sign pops up and says USB is Ready To use !
Then Continue with installation setup it should take no longer than 2 mins to complete and you will be
prompted to restart your PC/Laptop and when Windows has loaded again you should have Startech Audio Sound.
Its very simple to setup and im just pointing out those who dont get a alert when installation CD/DVD is inserted to proceed the Action of the Disc Contents and i would highly recommend to friends and family.Read full review

Cheap, simple optical output but without volume control

Works reliably and connects quickly. Only downside is the Windows driver ignores the Windows master volume level when using SPDIF optical so you can only control the volume from a media player/game or on the sound system.Read full review
