Great radio

It's a little complicated to use, but I'm getting used to it. It receives the ham bands, which is one reason I purchased it. It has separate upper and lower SSB selections, as well as AM. It seems that SSB has some filtering, as most ham retailers have. Furthermore, it comes with an extension wire antenna with a clip on the end of the wire spool for convenient rolling out of the wire for better SW reception. Not disappointed at all

Very impressed with this receiver and quality of reception. It has so many different features that I will have to do some research to learn what each one will do for me. Great SW radio!

I believe this PL660 model is superior to the PL880 model. Just the SSB function alone makes it better. Tecsun keeps improving this model even though it is several years older than the PL880. For the casual SW DXer, you can't go wrong with this radio. Plugging in an external antenna also greatly improves reception. Just make sure the external antenna is located outside away from your house and electrical interference.Read full review
