Nice, but restricted use.

This is a nice and compact branded dual band adapter.

It isn't suitable for any devices that do not have the ability to load a drive (a satellite box for example).

As a result, I thought I'd use it as a replacement wifi adapter on my HP Pavilion to upgrade from 2.4ghz. However, although it does do this, the speed is very limited, 10 to 15mb

I ended up buying a Netgear AC1200 High Gain WiFi USB Adapter which gives me a speed of 105mb on a Virgin 100mb Fibre.

Just didn't work :-(

I bought these for use with my phone which has 5G wifi capability and despite everything I tried they just wouldn't work. They are 5G only and wont work with the 2.4Ghz (2G) routers. I also bought some generic ones that are dual compatible for far cheaper and they work perfectly!!!
Another case on this platform, buy cheap and you get quality!

Double connection speed for old laptop.

I bought this dongle after I formatted my old laptop and couldn't get the network adaptor/ wifi to work properly. After a simple installation the wireless is working better than ever using this tp link device and my download speed has increased from 15 mbps to 30 mbps which is the maximum for my connection. Keeps Dropping Connection

When its running right it gets a good connection problem is it just keeps dropping its connection.
Even when you select it to stay connected it still asks you to re enter your wifi code it just will not remember it.
