Boot lock mechanism

Purchased a new boot lock as my original VW decided to pack in .. after a quick look on Ebay I decided and chose this one . Post was fast . Well packed . Tailgate Boot Lock modification and fitting.

The product is fine as a replacement. It's not the same standard as OEM components. The only modification needed was to use a craft knife to trim a small bevel on the plastic to match the original. Otherwise it won't fit properly and therefore will not work. After a bit of trial and error it has been fitted and works perfectly. Please be aware of this modification. The item will work perfectly but needs careful installation as I have mentioned.Read full review...

Great lock, well made. Seems reliable, but only been on three weeks. The two bolts holding the lock in place you will need a M8 Torx bit to remove. Don't attempt without it these bolts are easily stripped and damaged.Read full review...
