Light and sturdy, highly recommended.
Really surprised by this. I bought it as a stopgap for my mum as she finds it impossible to get from her garden back into the kitchen over the doorstep. Planning a ramp, we got this to 'tide her over'. I wasn't expecting that much for the price, but actually this is brilliant and she thinks it will put off needing a ramp for quite some time. I'm mobility impaired myself and I'd struggled with the step - I found this made getting into her kitchen so easy.
I'd definitely recommend it for anyone who is starting to find their doorstep a bit too high. It's mobile and can be removed for storage or moved to another door. It's lightweight but surprisingly sturdy and feels stable underfoot. The non-slip cover keeps it safe even when wet.

That centre support is crucial
Another similar object failed. The failed object did not have the central edge bottom support which this item does have. The failed object had only the 4 corner supports and was longer which caused more stress in the centre.

A well made halfstep It has six legs in...
A well made halfstep It has six legs instead of the usual four which gives the halfstep extra stability. I bought this step for indoor use and will use it at the base of the bottom stair. This will prevent any jarring to my legs. I recommend Tek halfsteps to anyone who has deficulty with stairs. I also have a Tek halfstep at the base of of lowest step near my front door. They are suitable for both indoors and outside.

Disability aid that really helps.

A step up!
This makes it easy for elderly people to get up and down high steps, it is stable and does not move when stepped on. My only problem is should I leave it outside the house, I'm worried it could be stolen, so many things do get removed from outside homes, some times simply abandoned down the road, but I'd not want to risk it, so I bring it indoors when it is not going to be used and over night.
Otherwise it is a good strong quality item, the additional support in the middle makes it stronger so it doesn't flex when stepped on. Good quality for the price.Read full review
