A game a tier above the others at the time
This game really is an instant classic, although not as aged as the 64 titles and beyond, this game really stood out as a treasure for its time. Just as other Zelda titles have done in the past. From the mechanics to the different(ish) twist on the storyline, this title was a masterpiece, especially for being a main Zelda title featuring the “Toon” World. Not only was the concept in story and graphic design great, but the controller mechanics had such a wide array of movesets, while somehow integrating it to the point of simplicity. The game really has the muster to appeal to gamers of all ages. The open world and high seas was also something to marvel at for the time, with treasures and inventory to find in places you could only get to acting on the game as a full scale exploration. The game had such a fresh new appeal at the time that it truly became one of the greats, and still to this day I give the replay value a 10/10. And that’s not just the nostalgia talking, although that is always a nice charm to have when replaying a classic such as this! Read full review

My Favorite Zelda Game
The Wind Waker has been a favorite game to me since my childhood. It encompasses many great features such as an open world, great dungeons, and the themes that the series has become well-known for. Though a lot of time is spent out on the waves, sailing to and from different islands across the map, that doesn't take away from the great characters and overall atmosphere of the game, which keeps you interested for hours at a time. There are more than enough side quests and mini-games to keep you busy for quite some time. As with any Zelda game, be ready to spend several hours enjoying every detail.Read full review

A fan favorite and critical darling...
There is a reason why every true Zelda fan places this iteration in their top 3- it is a masterpiece. Like most Zelda games, it is not without its flaws. A barren overworld and drawn out travel mechanics aside, this game echoes all that has been great about Zelda since its inception; adventurous mechanics, stunning art, engrossing story and puzzles that could only be described as incredibly satisfying. A MUST OWN for any Zelda or Gamecube collector! File this one away under "instant classic".Read full review

It’s Zelda. Isn’t that enough?
Yes, the graphics are cartoony. Yes, you sail through the overworld instead of walking or riding a horse. It’s still a Zelda game through and through. It’s not in my top 3, but it’s still fantastic. Criminally underrated when it came out, and a must play for Zelda fans. If you’re new to the series, it could also be a good introduction, as it is significantly easier than the other entries. It’s just a really fun game. Play it. Read full review
Excellent condition!
The game arrived without the booklet but with the case and game. Game disc has a few scratches, but works perfectly! This really stirred up nostalgia to be able to play this game again. Game's camera function is garbage compared to today's games but otherwise is a good game. Read full review

Worth buying
While some people have criticized the use of cel-shading, I think that it suits the game. The gameplay and story are pretty enjoyable, and I'm glad I went through the trouble of buying it. However, I am dissatisfied with some of the controls. Having all special attacks with the sword be automatic instead of using jumping and one's own timing to fight armored enemies was a step backward in my opinion, and I see it as no coincidence that this approach seems to have been mostly abandoned in later Zelda titles. Also, some of the companion controls seen in the late-game dungeons I found to be frustrating and poorly planned, i.e. having the button for using the mirror shield be the same button used for calling over the very character you are trying to reflect the light from, and whom you thus would prefer to stay right where she is.Read full review

Beautiful adventure; dreadful travel
In a series known for its overworlds, this one has the worst. Might be best to lay your controller down while you wait 5 to 10 minutes to reach your destination by the snail-paced boat. The dungeons are not as good as previous games, and there aren't as many as most of the major titles, but they're still solid. Graphics have held up flawlessly, the music is good and the story is average. I'd give it a 8/10Read full review

Very good.
Minor scratches, but ultimately, everything is fine! The game plays great!! Sometimes, the gamecube may have trouble reading it, but that can be fixed with a q tip and wiping off the glass lens inside the console. Just make sure everything's clean.Read full review
Great Game!
It’s Zelda! So you know the story is good! Young little Link… super fun and high quality game design make this a classic in the series! Gotta play it to see what I mean! Fun game!
10 out of 10 Nostalgia
Playing this again after this many years brought back a lot of wonderful memories. The game itself has an amazing story and it’s puzzles can be challenging at times. For anyone who hasn’t played it before or to those who haven’t played in years I highly recommend it.Read full review
