Easy to make jubilee clips every time.

Bought for use on my boat to secure lagging round the exhausts and as strapping round a cracked wood burner for extra support. Have used similar before. Found it easy to cut and after a bit of trial and error finding the best way of securing the tail end, easy to use. On tightening it helped if you gripped the worm drive unit with a pair of water pump pliers and with this method I was able to get enough tension to achieve a “ping” when flicked with a finger nail. As this is cheaper and far better than some I’ve tried before, I’ll be buying this again as it’s always handy for the many different size hoses on a boat. I also tried it on a cooling hose of 2 inch diameter and it tightened fine with no slipping. So yeah, brilliant! Thanks. Read full review

Easy to use in non critical situations

These are great and easy to use if you need a non critical join as they are easy to measure up, cut and make your own size.

However the band material is very soft so if you tighten the screw too much the band simply tears and the clip does not hold. The original jubilee could be tightened up a lot more as its band material was much tougher.

I used these on the diesel exhaust of my small sail boat where there is no pressure. The first one tore on tightening up so another was needed. They did work though. although I wouldn't trust these on water inlet pipes or oil pressure pipes etc.

Still pleased I bought the kit as they have many uses.

poor quality dont waste your maney

it is a good idea to make your own clamps,but let down by poor quality materials.i had to make a large clamp so cut and attached the screw fit clamp to band but due to poor quality metal as soon as u get to final turn of the screw it bends the band and comes undone.
as i say if metal band was made from thicker metal it would work ,but i have seen other reviews of this item and all seem to say the same DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.Read full review

Ready made hose clips far superior

This kit is not fit for purpose.
On first opening it looks very good but when I tried to use it I found that looks can be deceiving.
The qualityleaves a lot to be desired and the clips you can make are useless.
