Sharpens knives and scissors very easily. The slots 1 & 2 could be defined more on the front of the machine. The numbers blend into the plastic and are not very clear.

If it was in working condition, maybe it would be worth a purchase. Mine was broken on arrival. The left hand slot, slot 1, had its grinding wheels loose on the axle, therefore impossible to use.
