A fantastic saw for the money
Considering the price, this is a great piece of kit! Blade attachment is quick, easy and secure and I particularly like the fact that the saw head angle can be rotated to saw horizontally whilst keeping the saw body and handle in a comfortable position. I haven't used the metal blade as yet, but the wood saw blade is good and the interchangeability of the blades is also excellent and it takes the longer Saxon blades with no trouble. There is a certain amount of vibration during use but this is to be expected and is no worse than any other reciprocating saw.
This is not the first piece of VonHaus equipment that I have purchased and the quality of all are extremely good and I will certainly be looking at VonHaus gear for future DIY equipment..Read full review

Disappointing result
Stopped working after 1hour of light intermittent use . Cheap isn't always a bargain. Very disappointing. Didn't send it back as too costly to be worth the bother. !

Cheap and cheerful, reasonable build quality
I ordered this reciprocating saw having not owned or used one before. Decided to buy a cheaper one with warranty, in case the tool ended up on a shelf most of the time. Had an old shed to tear down into firewood, this saw helped make that much easier and faster.
The build quality is reasonable, obviously there are better tools out there, but not for this price.
There is a lot of vibration from the tool when in use, unsure if all reciprocating are like this.
The chuck is a bit loose, the blade will stay in there, but it's free to wobble around from side to side. Once the blade is in a cut, this doesn't seem to be much of an issue.
The business end of this saw rotates for a better grip when cutting at different angles, that proved to be useful.
So far, I've taken down a shed and cut the lot into firewood. I also cut down two trees behind my property that were causing a problem. This saw made both jobs much easier and quicker. Recently, I cut down a tree by hand, and it took much more time, effort and muscle.
In summary, I'm happy that I got my money's worth out of this saw, and I hope it will come in handy in the future for chopping up pallets, firewood, trees and branches, maybe some metal work.Read full review

very adaptable for various different jobs.
This is a good product. Does all you want it to. My only advice might be to check before and after use, the tightness of the front spacer assembly bolts. The first time I used the saw, these screws came loose, and the front assembly fell off whilst being used. Might be a good idea to Loctite them in.Read full review

Fantastic tool, easy to change blades, comfortable to hold and use
These saws range widely in price on the internet, but this MOSS saw has it all. Variable speed, fast blade change and high cutting ability. I cut a piece of scaffolding pole to test it and it passed with flying colours!

Robust
As a retired carpenter/joiner, I am used to expensive electrical tools of the trade. I needed a saw like this for general garden duties and thought this might do the trick. Cheap but well below a tradesman standard, good enough for light occasional garden work. How wrong I was, this product is extremely well built with a weighty feel to it. The rotating barrel is a bonus to this powerful cutting tool. It is definitely up there with all the well known brands a tradesman would normally own. Standard fit blades too.
Absolutely delighted with the saw.Read full review

Reciprocating Saw
Any tool is only as good as you use it and the blades or drill bits you put on it so this item is good enought for the money, if you are doing big jobs every day then spend the money on big powerful unit. I chop up pallets to make flower boxes so no problem at all and with a good blade it cuts through wood and nails. The twist function is very useful. Look for around £30-00 what do you want?Read full review

Get extra blades!
Using this to cut up pallets. With better blades than the ones supplied, it slices through the pallet nails with ease. Great product.

Good Value
This saw is robust and well put together. Great value.
One downside is the foot is supposed to be adjustable. Mine is not. It is riveted rather than fixed with an allen bolt. The allen key was still in the kit. So at some time this element has been modified. Time will tell if the lack of foot adjustment is a problem or not. Another point is the manual shows a different fitting at the end of the blades. In fact the fitting now used is fine as it is compatable with Bosch, Saxon etc.
The real test is time, but first impressions and use are very goodRead full review
